How we make a difference
We fund programs and services that promote reading, literacy, education, and culture in Hermosa Beach and the surrounding communities.
Library Support
Direct funding for programs and events, books, periodicals, and supplies that go beyond County funding and give our librarians flexibility to meet our community’s evolving needs.
Book READCycle
Every donated book finds its home. Thousands of books each year are donated to schools, teachers, and nonprofits in need across Southern California through our redistribution network.
Little Free Libraries
A growing network of neighborhood book exchanges bringing reading and community to every corner of Hermosa Beach. We fund installations, supply books, and coordinate volunteer stewards to grow and expand the network. Hermosa Beach boasts 32 Little Free Libraries - with many more to come!
Archives & Preservation
We perserve Hermosa Beach’s literary heritage through digitization, conservation, and archival work, protecting 66 years of community history for future generations.
Community Events (Author Series)
Our signature events support Hermosa Beach literary culture, connecting readers with inspiring writers, new ideas, and a growing community of book lovers.
