HELP
NEEDED - We need help in research, sorting, listing and mailing
for our on-line
book sales. This is a fun and interesting challenge, so if you can
spare an hour or more most weeks and would like to learn more about
this project, please contact Marcie Hines at
310-374-7062. We can also use volunteers to sort and work our book
sales. If getting first
crack at seeing the many like-new donated books has any interest
for you then please call
Naoma at 310-372-9325.
FREE
CHILDREN'S BOOKS
- If you have a computer and would like to help children receive free
books, try the "click a day" offered on http://www.theliteracysite.com/
this site will take you to a page that allows you to click on an icon.
You may have to scroll down a bit and occasionally you will be taken
to a page that requires you to go to the file menu and click "close"
before the click icon shows up. And, across the top of the page are
five other tabs that allow you to click to provide mammograms, children's
health and food, save the rainforest and feed animals. It only takes
a few minutes a day.
