EXCITING
NEWS -- Lots of new things to tell you about. We will be
embarking on a new on-line book sale through Alibris at www.alibris.com
We are currently in the process of setting up an account with Alibris
to sell some of our donated books. This will give us a much larger
customer base and should generate more income. If you would like
to learn more about this project and/or assist with sorting and
listing, please attend an informational meeting at our Bard Street
location on May 24th at 2:00 pm. Marcie Hines will be coordinating
this effort; she can be reached at 310-374-7062.
MORE NEWS -- Tired of forgetting to pay your
FOL annual dues? We have a new LIFE membership category that lets
you pay just one time and then be paid-up forever. At only $250.00
for one membership or $500.00 per family, you can be rid of our
nagging reminders for the rest of your life and make a nice donation
to your community.
EVEN
MORE NEWS -- Go to the FOL website at homework
and click on "New Information" for information on a new
"Live Homework Help" site from your Library that offers
up to 20 minutes of help from a live tutor for students in grades
4 through 12.
AND
-- Go to the FOL website at childrensshow
to see the list of the children's summer programs that is sponsored
by your Friends of the Library.
Meeting on Wednesday, June 8th at 3:00 PM
at the Bard Street location. All members welcome.
2005 memberships are now available by mail (go
